Lone Winter - Toddlers!
Aurora has grown into a healthy, happy toddler! Now she loves to be held, charming anyone who comes near. She has a strong appetite and likes to destroy anything she can get her hands on. Now that Aurora is a little older, Zoe has found that she is able to successfully take two courses at a time now. She also gets a job as a babysitter, allowing her to care for Aurora while she works. Through her work, Aurora is able to make some friends. She becomes close with three triplet girls who are the same age.
Aurora is soon walking and talking! Each milestone makes Zoe feel more accomplished as a mother. Things are still going well for the little family. Zoe's parents, even her mother, have started to come around, providing the two with gifts and money as they need it. Her mother gave birth to another son, Ramon, and they bring him to play with Aurora occasionally.
Aurora continues to learn and grow, working on her numbers and letters. Zoe can't believe how quickly time is flying. She's also starting to near the end of her degree and begins thinking about what her future goals are. She also worries about how she will get along without her scholarships to support them, although she is thankful her parents are more supportive these days.
Keeping her degree choice in mind, Zoe leaves the childcare field and gets a job at a small coffee shop. She works on baking different things and receives another helpful promotion, this one bringing home a more substantial salary. As the weather gets colder, Zoe ensures Aurora has plenty of warm clothes and new indoor toys.
Zoe has enough in her savings to afford a real Christmas for her daughter. They enjoy a decorated home and open some presents on Christmas Day. Aurora is thrilled with the glowing lights and brightly colored paper! Zoe is so proud that she was able to provide a fun holiday for her child.
Finally, it's Zoe's birthday and she's officially becoming an adult. She's excited for the new opportunities her age will bring her, and hopes for the ability to support Aurora better. Aurora's birthday quickly approaches as well. Thanks to her promotion, Zoe is able to throw her a birthday party, inviting some of their friends and family. She feels sad to be leaving toddlerhood and her baby behind, but she is excited to watch Aurora grow into a capable child.
